My Part of the Bike

I feel like I would be the pedals. From what I got from watching the video is that the pedals are like a manager or someone who sets the pace and keeps everything going. They also relay information to the rest of the bike to get things going. The pedal also seems like one of the first steps in the drive train to get things going, obviously the teacher being the one riding the bike and the one that actually gets the bike moving. If I were the pedals, that would mean that I would be listening to the teacher's directions and trying to set the pace and get everyone going in the right direction. Because I am the pedals on this bike, I would have to give 100% of my effort just to keep the bike moving. If I give any less, the bike will start to slow down and it might even fall over. This semester, what I will try to do is to make sure everything rides smooth for the rest of the year. In class, once we get our instructions I will try to be the one that puts them to action and also gets everyone else in the class up and ready to do whatever we have to do. The pedals on my bike will never stop moving because I will always be trying to do the best I can with what I have. If someone is down and out, I will try and help them back to where they need to be. Because I am the pedals on this bike, I need to get everyone to not only listen to me, but to listen to everyone else. If something goes wrong in the some other part of the drive train, I can’t just keep going at full speed, I need to stop or slow down and try and fix the problem. If one part of the bike is broken, then none of it will work.

  1. From what I have seen so far, I would agree with your post and your assessment of your role! : - )
